Sources for Free Photos and Images
As a designer, using graphics and photos are essential to a visually interesting and captivating design. But how do you know which ones you're allowed to use? One of the best ways is to read the legal documentation that comes with images. Many times you have to buy the license to use an image, which outlines how you're allowed to use it. Personal use and commercial use of an image may require different licenses. Here are a list of websites that offer free images for personal use.

- Digital format on social media
- Printed material such as magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, flyers, product packaging
- Decorative use in home, office, or public places
- Personal Use
- No unlawful use
- No standalone file use
- Cannot use in a trademark or logo
- You must use sensitive use disclaimer if you use an image featuring models or property in unflattering or controversial subject matter

- Users have waived their rights to images and videos, you may use and adapt them for commercial purpose without giving credit to owner.

- No guarantee that you will be able to use content for any purpose since Pixabay does not require a written Model Release for each image or video
- Some images or videos may be subject to additional copyrights, property rights, etc. that may require third party consent that you may have to obtain
- Unsplash.com Uses:
- Licensed under Creative Commons Zero, which allows you to copy, modify, distribute, and use the photos for free without providing credit to the artist.
- Use images in a lawful and moral manner
- Not many other restrictions!
